In the UK WEEE regulations a distributor is defined as ‘any person who provides electrical and electronic equipment on a commercial basis to the party who is going to use it’.  

Distributors who supply new EEE have an obligation to ensure that WEEE from private households can be returned to the system free of charge.

The bank locator, including facilities for the collection of WEEE, has been an extremely successful feature and is now supporting the government’s own recycling brand, Please recycle your old electrical items.

Waste Portable Batteries

Under the Waste Battery Regulations, Connollys Homestyle Limited are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries.  You can return your waste batteries to our business premises in person (please do not post).

Alternatively you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.co.uk
and www.batteryback.org

Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points.  End users may find stores in their local area more accessible.
